The demand for project management skills in the business environment is continuing to increase with rapidly evolving complex infrastructures and global reach. UGA’s Terry College of Business is proud to offer a Project Management course which addresses the often-overlooked leadership and communication skills critical to overseeing a project to completion.
The program takes place over four days (followed by a one day test prep course) using a blended format with interactive classroom teachings and limited online interfacing. This course complies with the Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, and will enable participants to grow their leadership skills in a project environment. The class format combines lectures, case studies, team and individual exercises and team development of a real-life project.
This Project Management course provides 35 hours of project management education, meeting education requirements for both PMI's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ® and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. Additionally, the program awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon request.
Whether you are a highly specialized individual contributor or responsible for managing others, you will increase your expertise and understanding of best practices in project management. Terry’s course will give you the tools and insights you need to better plan and scope a project – from identifying resources to setting and keeping a budget and schedule.
We are now offering a FREE test prep day as an optional session (with registration in the Project Management class). After completing the knowledge based course, we will provide an opportunity for you to test your knowledge using a practice PMP exam and provide coaching to help you with test taking strategies.
