Earn Your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

Building on the knowledge base acquired through the Green Belt course, the Black Belt program teaches you to apply Six Sigma methodology to specific projects, enables you to identify organizational waste and provides tools to maximize your assets all while earning your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from the globally ranked Terry College of Business.

About Lean Six Sigma

This comprehensive program is ideal for individuals who want to hone their leadership skills to help solve their organization's most significant process-driven challenges, not just earn a certificate.

Participants sit for a UGA Black Belt certification exam at the conclusion of the course and have twelve months to complete their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project required for certification, all while enjoying the ongoing guidance and mentoring of our highly-rated and regarded faculty.

The curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the most recent changes in the Lean Six Sigma body of knowledge.  Projects are uniquely identified to address your organization's pressing challenges, bringing practice together with theory to provide a resolution to your real-world obstacles.

Online Format

The Black Belt program will consist of three modules, each lasting approximately nine weeks plus a yearlong project which will begin at the successful completion of module three.  During the three modules, the instructor will be conducting live instruction online one night per week.  Participants will be given a series of exams as they go through each module.  The instructor will also monitor the participants throughout the year as they work on their projects. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive their Black Belt Certificate.
